James Klausen

Nature is filled with subtle colors, symmetry, rhythm, chaos, as well as tactile and visual texture. By enhancing the colors in my photographs of tree bark and carefully cropping these images, I have created natural abstractions. I hope you will be surprised by their beauty and your appreciation of the exquisiteness of nature will expand.

Born: Nov. 22, 1937

Education: BA and MA in Biology from Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY

Employment: H.S. Science teacher for 34 years and Department Chair for 22 years. Currently retired.
